WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 22, 2013) - Bracewell & Giuliani LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Robert E. “Bob” Pease as senior counsel in the firm’s energy regulatory practice.

Pease joins Bracewell’s Washington, D.C. office with more than 25 years of senior-level experience at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) handling energy-related policy, compliance and enforcement matters. Most recently, he served as Counsel to the Director in the Division of Enforcement at the CFTC. Before his time with the CFTC, Pease spent more than 20 years in various positions at FERC including as the Director of Investigations. “The depth of experience that Bob adds is a great complement to our already stellar energy regulatory practice,” said Mark C. Evans, Bracewell’s managing partner.

Pease will represent clients in compliance and enforcement matters involving power, gas and crude oil, as well as Dodd Frank implementation.

“Bob is a great addition to our strong regulatory compliance and investigation, FERC and CFTC practices,” said Mark Lewis, managing partner of Bracewell’s Washington, D.C. office. “Bob’s experience with those agencies will offer our clients unique insight in matters related to compliance, investigations and Dodd Frank implementation.”
