(New York, July 1, 2013)   Milberg LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Senior Counsel Nicole Duckett Fricke to partner.  Ms. Fricke, who is based in Milberg’s Los Angeles office, focuses her practice on securities fraud, antitrust, and consumer class actions.

“Nicole has proven to be a tremendous asset to Milberg,” said Milberg Executive Committee Chairman Sanford P. Dumain. “We are pleased to welcome her as the newest partner of the firm.”

Since joining Milberg, Ms. Fricke has served as co-lead counsel in some of the largest litigations Milberg has handled in the past few years, including an antitrust class action against Sirius XM, a consumer fraud class action against NVIDIA Corporation, and a shareholder derivative action against The Ryland Group, Inc.  Prior to joining Milberg, Ms. Fricke worked as an associate at Mayer Brown LLP, where she practiced complex business litigation, white-collar criminal defense, and corporate internal investigations.

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Fricke is also active in the Los Angeles civic and legal communities.  In 2012, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa appointed her as City Commissioner for the Los Angeles Convention Center and related entities including L.A. She is also on the Leadership Council Board for the Fulfillment Fund, and she is active in the National Association of Securities Professionals, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

For six consecutive years, since 2006, Los Angeles Magazine named Ms. Fricke a Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star.
