ATLANTA, GA (August 20, 2013) - Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, is pleased to announce David A. Hughes has joined the firm’s Atlanta office as Partner.  Prior to coming to Jackson Lewis, David was a Partner at Ogletree Deakins, where he concentrated his practice on employment law counseling and litigation.

Mr. Hughes has over 20 years of employment law counseling and litigation experience,  including jury and bench trials before state and federal courts throughout the country.  He has successfully litigated both single and multi-plaintiff cases and class actions involving a wide range of employment law claims.  Mr. Hughes also regularly advises clients on wage and hour issues, ADA and FMLA compliance, state and federal discrimination statutes, and non-compete agreements.

In addition to his employment counseling and litigation practice, Mr. Hughes offers training to large and small client groups on employment law topics.  He also regularly presents on employment law including the interplay between the ADA, FMLA and workers’ compensation law.

Mr. Hughes has earned Martindale Hubbell’s “AV” rating from his peers.  He is admitted to practice in Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas and West Virginia, as well as numerous federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.  Mr. Hughes received both his undergraduate degree and J.D. from Vanderbilt University. 

Last month, Evan Rosen joined the firm’s Atlanta office as a Partner from Epstein Becker.  In 2013, Jackson Lewis’ Atlanta office was named the Law Firm Litigation Department of the Year for labor and employment in a survey conducted by the American Lawyer publication, the Daily Report.
