LOS ANGELES – Goldberg, Lowenstein & Weatherwax LLP (GLW), a boutique litigation and transactional law firm with offices in Los Angeles, San Diego and Silicon Valley, added three prominent attorneys as Of Counsel: Tanya Acker, Kate Anderson and Katherine Huang.

A well-known legal commentator, Ms. Acker focuses on commercial litigation, trade secret protection and business counseling. Ms. Anderson, a prominent attorney and rising star in the legal community, focuses on pre-litigation dispute counseling, internal investigations, and commercial litigation, including a specialty in antitrust and unfair competition issues. Ms. Huang focuses on business and patent infringement litigation, pre-litigation counseling and dispute resolution.

Tanya Acker. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Acker was with Latham & Watkins and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. She also has extensive in-house experience, including serving as General Counsel for EmeraChem LLC. She obtained her J.D. from Yale Law School and her B.A. summa cum laude at Howard University.  After law school, Tanya clerked for Judge Dorothy Nelson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and served as Bristow Fellow in the Office of the Solicitor General of the United States Department of Justice.  Tanya is a frequent commentator on legal and political matters and has appeared on Larry King, CNN Reports, Anderson Cooper 360, The O’Reilly Factor and Good Morning America.

Kate Anderson. Ms. Anderson began her legal career on Capitol Hill as Counsel to the Government Reform and Oversight Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives. She subsequently worked in private practice at the law firm of Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. She received her J.D. from the University of Chicago, graduating with high honors and awarded the Order of the Coif. After law school, Ms. Anderson clerked for Judge Harry T. Edwards of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.  She obtained her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she served as Student Body President. 

Katherine Huang. Before joining GLW, Ms. Huang was a partner at the law firm of Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. She obtained her J.D. from Yale Law School, graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in Chemistry, and has experience designing and synthesizing pharmaceutical agents.  After law school, Ms. Huang clerked for Supreme Court Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. when he served on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
