WASHINGTON, D.C., October 3, 2013 — Goodwin Procter, a national Am Law 50 firm, announced today that Benjamin P. Saul has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a partner in its Consumer Financial Services Litigation Group.  Saul joins Goodwin from Buckley Sandler where he was a partner resident in Washington, D.C.

At Goodwin, Saul will continue to concentrate his practice in enforcement matters, while remaining involved in litigation and regulatory matters as well.  Saul will represent clients across a range of consumer finance issues, including fair and responsible banking, loan origination, servicing and securitization practices as well as credit reporting, consumer privacy and data security.  His experience also includes litigation, particularly in the troubled bank and class action context, and advising clients on white collar criminal matters, including alleged money laundering and mortgage fraud, as well as on securities and corporate fiduciary duty issues.

Saul received his J.D. from American University and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.  He is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia, Maryland and Massachusetts.  He is also a member of the bars of various federal circuit and district courts and has been admitted pro hac vice in several other federal and state courts nationwide.
