CHICAGO, IL. (November 5, 2013) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that partner Rick Youngof the Chicago office was named Chair of the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) Legal Practice Resource Committee.
Formerly known as the Publications Committee, INTA’s Legal Practice Resources Committee identifies, evaluates, and develops concepts and proposals for major member benefit publications. The Committee also oversees efforts of project teams, contributing writers and editors who develop content for trademark practitioners.
Young’s nomination was approved during the INTA’s Board of Directors meeting in Alicante, Spain. He will serve as Chair for the 2014-2015 term.
“It will be a privilege and an honor to lead this Committee,” said Young. “INTA is the premier IP organization and has long been one of the leading publishers of trademark titles. I look forward to leading the Legal Practice Resources Committee as it continues its strong tradition of publishing works that benefit the trademark bar.”
Young practices law in the Intellectual Property group at Quarles & Brady, litigating patent, trademark and copyright actions in both federal trial and appellate courts around the country. He specializes in counseling clients on the many aspects of intellectual property with the goal of strengthening their business and the competitiveness of their respective brands. Young has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® and is a graduate of Yale University.
