CHICAGO – Jan. 15, 2014 – The national class action law firm of Edelson PC has announced that attorneys Christopher DoreBen Richman and Ari Scharg have been made partners in the firm’s Chicago office. The firm also welcomes Courtney BoothMark EisenAmir Missaghi and Jack Yamin as new associates.

Dore and Richman both started clerking with the firm while they were in law school. Dore focuses on the development of consumer technology class actions, including some of the largest text spam settlements in history. Richman concentrates his practice on consumer class actions and has achieved significant success prosecuting nationwide class actions concerning the mishandling of consumer data and the design, marketing and sale of fraudulent software products. Richman also directs Edelson PC’s Summer Associate Program and co-chairs the firm’s hiring committee. Since joining Edelson in 2011 as a lateral, Scharg has developed and prosecuted landmark class actions that have helped define privacy rights and obligations in the area of consumer data.  

Dore, Richman and Scharg are graduates of the John Marshall Law School.

Booth is also a graduate of the John Marshall Law School, where she served as staff editor of The John Marshall Law Review, as a teaching assistant for both legal writing and civil procedure courses, and as a member of moot court. Missaghi earned his law degree from the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was a member of moot court and a teaching assistant for property law. Yamin is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Law and served as a judicial extern to the Hon. Marvin E. Aspen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Eisen earned his law degree from the Boston University School of Law, where he competed in moot court and served as a note development editor for the BU International Law Journal.

Booth, Missaghi and Yamin are graduates of Edelson’s summer associate program. Eisen joins the firm following a judicial clerkship for the Hon. Gary Feess of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
