WASHINGTON, D.C. — Feb. 5, 2014 — Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, announced that Jon Glaudemans has joined the firm as a managing director with Manatt Health Solutions, the firm's interdisciplinary policy and business advisory division.

With more than 25 years of senior leadership experience in managed care, policy issues management, public affairs and health insurance, Glaudemans is a leading advisor on a wide array of Medicare, Medicaid, and hospital and health plan matters. He works closely with boards of directors, hospital chief executive officers and key corporate and public sector leaders to develop and implement business strategies and public policy reforms designed to improve healthcare delivery and financing.

In his role as Ascension Health’s senior representative and spokesperson in Washington, D.C., Glaudemans led the execution of an integrated advocacy, government affairs and communications strategy to enhance the healthcare system’s ability to lead the transformation of healthcare. Prior to his role at Ascension, Glaudemans supervised major practice areas and managed operations at Avalere Health; led the Washington, D.C. office of the nation’s largest independent public affairs firm, Public Strategies; and helped lead the design and development of President George W. Bush’s prescription drug discount card program while serving as a transition consultant at the U.S. Health Care Financing Administration / Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He has also held various leadership roles at Aetna where he served as a principal source of industrywide policy analysis and recommendations on a wide array of insurance market reforms, and managed the sales, service, network, utilization, and quality management activities for Aetna’s 1.5 million member Mid-Atlantic health plan.
