ORANGE COUNTY, Ca. – March 21, 2014 – Troutman Sanders LLP announced today that John Hamilton has joined the firm’s corporate practice as a partner in Orange County. Hamilton comes to the firm from Bracke Manufacturing, LLC, an electronic component manufacturing company, which he co-founded. Prior to owning his own business, Hamilton was a partner with Rutan & Tucker in Orange County.
An Orange County native, Hamilton has experience working with members of the regional business community on transactional matters. He has represented clients in a broad range of corporate and business-related matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, venture capital, business transactions and general contract negotiations.
“Having practiced previously with John, I have seen how committed he is to working with members of the business community in Orange County,” said Larry Cerutti, Managing Partner of the firm’s Orange County office. “His ties to our community run deep, and his experience dovetails nicely with our continued growth plans for Orange County.”
“As I looked to return to private practice, I wanted to be part of a firm with recognized experience in areas critical to emerging and established companies here in Orange County,” said Hamilton. “Troutman Sanders has a strong mix of practices that reflect the needs of this dynamic business community. In addition, I was excited to have the opportunity to practice with some of my former colleagues.”
“John’s arrival strengthens both the depth and breadth of our corporate practice as we continue to add critical mass in Orange County,” said Dave Meyers, a partner in the firm’s Corporate practice. “His experience with middle market private equity and venture capital will enhance and expand the services we offer clients.”
Hamilton is a graduate of Stanford University. He received his J.D. from the University of Southern California School of Law.
