NEW YORK, NY (April 8, 2014) – Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP is pleased to announce that G. Michael Bellinger has joined the firm as a partner in its Litigation Department effective April 1, 2014.  With 30 years of experience, Mr. Bellinger’s practice concentrates on white-collar criminal defense, internal corporate investigations, employment litigation and complex commercial litigation.

Mr. Bellinger, a seasoned trial attorney, represents Fortune 500 companies, corporate executives, investment bankers, elected officials, physicians and other professionals with criminal defense, commercial disputes, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, and corporate governance matters.  He also has significant experience representing both individuals and corporate entities before federal and state agencies such as the United States Attorney’s Offices for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the United States Department of Justice and New York State’s Attorney General, Inspector General, and various District Attorney Offices.  Prior to joining Carter Ledyard, Mr. Bellinger, a former prosecutor, was a partner in the New York offices of Dorsey Whitney and Arent Fox.

Mr. Bellinger received his B.A. degree in political science at Tufts University in 1974 and J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 1979.  Mr. Bellinger serves as a referee for the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct.  He is also a member of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers, Association of the Bar of the City of New York, New York State Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
