Palo Alto — Sidley Austin LLP announced today that Sam Zucker has joined the firm in the Palo Alto office as a partner in both the “Life Sciences” and “Corporate Emerging Companies and Venture Capital” practice groups. Mr. Zucker focuses his practice on corporate transactions for high growth life sciences and healthcare technology companies in the U.S., Asia, and elsewhere throughout the world.

During his career he has represented clients in two main areas – M&A and financings. He has completed a wide variety of mergers and acquisitions, including joint ventures, strategic alliances, and partnerships. He also has represented companies and investors in numerous financings, including venture capital and private equity financings as well as IPOs, follow-on offerings, and PIPEs. In addition to advising clients on securities regulatory and policy matters, such as SEC, NASDAQ, NYSE and ISS matters, Mr. Zucker has extensive experience advising clients’ management and boards of directors on corporate governance and critical strategic matters.
