Atlanta, GA, May 29, 2014 – Fish & Richardson today announced that Danielle Williams has joined the firm’s Atlanta office as a Principal in its Intellectual Property Litigation Group. Previously, Williams was a partner on the Patent Litigation Team at Kilpatrick Townsend, where she was a member of its Partnership and Strategy Commitees and co-chaired its Women’s Initiative.
Williams will continue to focus her practice on patent litigation. She has extensive experience handling high-risk, multi-patent, multi-product, multi-defendant cases in a broad range of technologies, in Federal courts across the country. She will also continue to advise clients regarding various pre-suit patent litigation issues.
“Danielle is a seasoned IP litigator and trial attorney and we are very excited to have her join our team. She is an important lateral hire for our firm, and her depth and breadth of experience will be an asset to our clients,” said Ann Cathcart Chaplin, Litigation Practice Group Leader at Fish. “The Atlanta office is thrilled to bring Danielle on board, not just because she is a terrific complement to our local and national presence in high-stakes IP litigation, but because she fits so well with the team-oriented culture that has been central to our successes,” added Thad Kodish, Managing Principal of Fish’s Atlanta office.
Williams is a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers, has been involved in several women’s initiatives focused on professional development, and has served on the Advisory Board of the Center for Women in Business at Salem College. She serves on the Board of Visitors for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and is the Chair of the Advisory Group for Brenner Children's Hospital.
She received both her J.D. and M.B.A. from Wake Forest University in 1996 and her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992. Williams received the Robert Goldberg Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and was elected to the Order of the Barristers.
