ATLANTA, GA (August 12, 2014) -- Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the largest workplace law firms in the world representing management, is pleased to announce Carla Gunnin has joined the firm’s Atlanta office as Shareholder.  Ms. Gunnin, who joins the firm from Baker Donelson, regularly litigates cases before federal and state administrative tribunals throughout the United States in matters of Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) law and Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) law

Ms. Gunnin, who previously served as a trial attorney for the Department of Labor (DOL), has successfully handled OSHA matters involving egregious citations, willful citations, fatality-related citations and complex multi-employer worksite issues. In addition, she has represented employers across all types of industries in a wide variety of DOL issues.

Ms. Gunnin is a frequent speaker on OSHA and MSHA compliance and defense issues. She has appeared before Society for Human Resource (SHRM) professionals, and spoken on OSHA topics for the National Rural Electric COOP Association, Organization Resource Counselors (ORC) Worldwide and the American Meat Institute.

Ms. Gunnin received her B.S. in International Relations from the University of Alabama and her J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law.  She is admitted to practice in Alabama and Georgia.
