DENVER – Nov. 20, 2014 – Bryan Cave LLP, a global law firm, today announced that Darryl T. Landahl is joining the firm as a partner in the firm’s Denver office. Landahl practices exclusively in health care regulatory and transactional matters and has represented, as both in-house and outside counsel, several of the most prominent managed care companies, Medicare Advantage organizations, and Part D sponsors in the country. His experience will complement a number of attorneys within the firm whose practices overlap with Landahl’s health care focus. In addition, Landahl expands the scope of services Bryan Cave offers its clients, including health insurers, health care providers and other health care entities and corporations navigating health care regulatory issues.

Landahl advises managed care and other clients on all types of health care regulatory and transactional matters, including structuring joint ventures and other transactions among health care providers, compliance with federal and state fraud and abuse laws (including the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute), managed care contracting, federal and state licensing and enforcement matters, participation in health insurance exchanges, and compliance program development and implementation. Landahl also has experience negotiating an array of health care administrative services agreements, including for pharmacy benefit management, utilization management, and claims payment.

Prior to returning to private practice at another firm, Landahl served as Executive Counsel for one of the largest heath insurers in the country, where he was responsible for managing all legal matters for its Medicare Advantage and Part D program and one of its commercial health plan divisions. He received his J.D. and B.S. from Arizona State University.
