Latham & Watkins LLP is pleased to announce that Kevin Chambers has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as counsel in the White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice Group in the firm’s Litigation Department. Chambers joins Latham following four years as an Assistant United States Attorney during which he prosecuted over 250 criminal cases in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He served as lead prosecutor in over 60 trials, including over 15 jury trials. Prior to his government service, Chambers practiced law in the securities enforcement department of a major Washington, D.C. law firm. Before law school, he worked for several years as a certified public accountant at Ernst & Young in New York, where he specialized in financial services clients.  Chambers will focus his practice on white collar, securities and accounting cases.

Chambers joins a practice that has been at the forefront of white collar defense, representing clients in bet-the-company government investigations and cases. He also adds to the list of experienced, former government officials who have joined the firm in 2014, including partners Kathy Ruemmler, Melissa Sherry, John Sikora and Jonathan Su.

Chambers earned his JD from Yale Law School.
