Armstrong Teasdale announces the addition of Falon M. Wrigley to its Labor and Employment group. Falon provides practical, sophisticated advice to complex legal problems unique to the workplace.

On the litigation side of her practice, Falon defends and advises employers with respect to state and federal employment laws, such as Title VII of the Civil Rights of 1964 (Title VII), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) – as well as their state law equivalents. With a deep knowledge of employment law policies and an eye on the ever-changing economic reality, she routinely handles administrative charges and litigation in connection with claims of failure to hire, wrongful termination, discrimination and harassment, breach of employment and separation agreements, and alleged wage and hour violations. By following the maxim that “the best defense is a good offense,” Falon works to put clients in the driver’s seat whenever a dispute arises.

In another part of her practice, Falon provides valuable day-to-day preventative and best practices counseling, reviews and drafts employment-related agreements and contracts, and collaborates with employers in the development of client and industry-specific employee handbooks and policies. Falon also conducts human resources audits for clients ranging in size from family-owned regional businesses to publicly-traded, global entities. In this capacity, she reviews selection, hiring, orientation, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, career development, compliance and separation, providing a comprehensive report and suggesting next steps. Falon then works in tandem with clients to implement cost-effective changes aimed at both decreasing legal liability and bolstering the employers’ myriad other interests.

Falon has authored numerous articles and educational materials in the area of employment law. She also regularly presents to corporate counsel, human resources professionals and business owners regarding employment law best practices and emerging trends nationwide.

Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Falon practiced at the St. Louis office of a national labor and employment boutique.  She earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University and B.A. from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Falon is admitted to practice law in Missouri and Illinois, before the U.S. District Courts of Eastern and Western Missouri and Central, Northern and Southern Illinois, and before the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.
