Armstrong Teasdale, a law firm with offices across the United States and in China, proudly announces the addition of David Fitzpatrick, partner, to its Litigation practice group. Based in the firm’s St. Louis office, Fitzpatrick focuses on matters relating to medical malpractice, environmental, chemical and toxic torts, creditors’ rights, products liability, and commercial litigation.

Handling cases from inception through trial, Fitzpatrick has appeared in state and federal courts in numerous jurisdictions throughout the U.S. He has secured favorable dispositions on multimillion-dollar liability cases through aggressive motion practice, mediation and trial.

Fitzpatrick has experience representing lending institutions in creditors’ rights actions, and conducted numerous vessel attachment and repossession actions pursuant to the Supplemental Rules for Admiralty. He has also represented mining and manufacturing companies in complex environmental, chemical and toxic tort suits involving domestic and foreign operations.

His practice includes defending a wide range of companies, including automotive, houseboat and power tool manufacturers in products liability cases alleging defective design and failure to provide adequate warnings. Fitzpatrick also handles general commercial matters such as breach of contract and property disputes.

Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Fitzpatrick was in private practice at another St. Louis firm. He earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and B.A. from Drake University. He is admitted to practice law in Missouri and Illinois, and before the Eastern District of Missouri and the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois.
