LOS ANGELES, 6 January 2016 – Hogan Lovells announced today that Paul Salvaty has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner in the Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group.

Salvaty is a business trial lawyer who represents clients in complex commercial litigation, antitrust litigation, and class actions.  He represents companies in federal and state actions in the entertainment, financial, and energy industries, among others.

“Paul is well-known for his ability to provide trial representation and litigation counsel to local clients across a variety of industries important to the Southern California marketplace,” said Barry Dastin, Managing Partner of the Los Angeles office. “He joins his former litigation colleagues Michael Maddigan and Stephanie Yonekura, and continues the firm’s strong momentum in Los Angeles by expanding our commercial litigation bandwidth in the market.”

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Salvaty was a litigation partner at Glaser Weil where he represented a wide variety of business clients in commercial disputes. He has first-chaired numerous trials, arbitrations, and appeals.

Salvaty is a respected member of the Los Angeles legal community. He currently serves as President of the UC Hastings Foundation Board of Trustees and previously served as President of the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, Chair of the ABA Section of Intellectual Property’s Committee 409 (Antitrust Matters) a member of the Board of Governors of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar’s Antitrust and Unfair Business Practices Section.  He has been recognized by the bench and the bar for his work on behalf of indigent clients, particularly in the area of slum housing litigation.

Salvaty earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. He served as law clerk for the Honorable Dickran Tevrizian, United States District Court for the Central District of California, and for the Honorable Kim M. Wardlaw, United States District Court for the Central District of California.
