MEXICO CITY , MONTERREY (March 28, 2016) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has named Rolando Santos office managing shareholder of its Mexico City and Monterrey offices. Santos succeeds Oscar De la Vega, who is transitioning from the firm.

“With nearly 40 years of experience counseling companies on their global employment matters, Rolando has established himself as one of Mexico’s top lawyers,” said Tom Bender, Littler’s co-managing director. “He is  well-regarded in the international legal community and we are excited to have him lead the efforts of our Mexico City and Monterrey offices.”

Santos focuses his practice on individual and collective litigation for national and international companies across diverse industries, including hospitality, mining and banking. Active in the legal community, he is a member of the Mexican Bar Association, National Association of In-House Counsel and Mexican Society of Labor and Social Security Law.

“Mexico has been a critical part of Littler’s global strategy and our presence continues to grow,” Santos said. “As Mexico continues to experience moderate growth in the face of dropping oil prices and changing exchange rates, I look forward to exploring opportunities to further expand our footprint in the country and building upon our reputation as the country’s dominant labor and employment legal provider.”

Santos received his Law Degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho. Previously, he was an adjunct professor of labor law at the Universidad Intercontinental Tourism School, professor of labor law at the Universidad Tecnológica de México, and professor of individual, procedural and collective law at the Centro Universitario México. Santos has contributed to several publications, including labor lex (Coparmex) and Evidencias, on labor law topics and is continuously sought out as a speaker for employment law events.

In addition to the Mexico offices, the firm has international locations in Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.
