Armstrong Teasdale, a law firm with offices across the United States and in China, proudly announces that Litigation partners William M. Corrigan, Jr. and Jeffrey L. Schultz have been selected to receive The Missouri Bar Foundation 2016 W. Oliver Rasch Award. The award recognizes outstanding substantive articles appearing in the Journal of the Missouri Bar.
The article receiving recognition, “Trade Secret Litigation – An Updated Overview,” explores the critical protections the Missouri Uniform Trade Secrets Act provides to businesses. The article ran in the January/February 2015 issue of the Journal.
A former president of The Missouri Bar, Corrigan’s litigation skills and legal acumen have gained him national recognition. For the past 10 years, Bill has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America®. He is also named as a Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyer and voted by his peers as one of St. Louis' top 50 lawyers. In addition to his experience as a successful business litigator, Corrigan serves as outside general counsel to national companies and to many small and large privately held businesses that are headquartered in St. Louis. He is also active in the community and in the political arena, participating on a number of boards and even served as the Republican candidate for the 2010 election for St. Louis County Executive.
Schultz is an experienced business litigator and co-chairs the firm’s Data Security and Privacy practice group. He is also the former chair of The Missouri Bar’s Technology and Computer Law Committee, and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals. As a litigator, Schultz routinely represents individuals and organizations in complex commercial disputes, including those involving the misappropriation of trade secrets, computer tampering, nondisclosure and noncompete agreements, commercial contracts, shareholder disputes and social networking law.
Corrigan and Schultz will be recognized in a video presentation at the awards luncheon during the Missouri Bar Annual Meeting in September.
The Oliver Rasch Award was created by the editorial board of Journal of the Missouri Bar to honor a late longtime member and former chair of the board.
