WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 14, 2016) – Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Andrew G. McBride has joined the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice as a partner in its Washington, D.C., office. Andrew will focus on complex litigation at the agency, trial and appellate levels.  Andrew has deep experience as lead counsel for industry coalitions in cases involving the communications, technology and new media sectors.  He also has extensive experience defending enforcement actions before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and state public utility commissions. 
 
Andrew is a former law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor and served 10 years in the Department of Justice, including seven as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the “Rocket Docket” in the Eastern District of Virginia.

Andrew has spent 25 years in public service and private practice, including most recently as partner at Wiley Rein, LLP.  In private practice, Andrew has led multiple industry coalition cases and represented clients in numerous regulated industries, including leading internet providers, equipment manufacturers, and service providers. His litigation background also includes copyright, patent and federal preemption defense, First Amendment protection, corporate and individual investigations and white collar criminal matters.

Andrew received his J.D., with distinction, Order of the Coif, from Stanford Law School.  He earned his B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the College of the Holy Cross.
