LOS ANGELES — Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed Jeff Margulies, an accomplished class action litigator and consumer product compliance counselor, as its new Partner-in-Charge of the global law firm’s Los Angeles office. Margulies succeeds Peter Mason, who transitions from partner to of counsel after more than a decade in this leadership position.

Norton Rose Fulbright’s team of more than 75 Los Angeles lawyers are proficient in a wide array of practice areas, including dispute resolution, corporate and real estate transactions, tax and municipal finance matters.

Margulies, who joined the firm in 2004 and has consistently been recognized by Chambers USA over the years, said:

“I look forward to leading our highly talented group of lawyers in LA, and I am excited about further bolstering our capabilities in California. With the recent opening of our San Francisco office and entrance into Vancouver, we have placed a priority on expanding our West Coast presence. I am confident that this focus will benefit our clients both regionally and globally.”

Margulies defends manufacturers and retailers in consumer class action litigation matters related to false advertising and product compliance issues. His diverse practice also involves a variety of state, federal and international product safety, chemical management and related regulatory matters and encompasses compliance, enforcement and litigation.

Daryl Lansdale, Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Managing Partner, said:

“Jeff’s contributions to the firm have been significant, and his leadership has greatly benefited both colleagues and clients alike. Jeff’s winning demeanor and proven track record in the courtroom will inspire our team in Los Angeles.”

Margulies, who also serves on the executive committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Environmental Law Section, received his JD from the Villanova University School of Law and his BA from Duke University.
