Phoenix, AZ and Washington, D.C., May 19, 2025 – International law firm BCLP today announced that Justin Kingsolver has joined the firm as a partner in the Litigation & Investigations Department and the Antitrust, Competition & Trade Practice Group, based in Phoenix, AZ and Washington, D.C.
Justin focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, with particular strength in antitrust and healthcare matters. He has represented many of the nation’s most prominent companies in high-stakes and high-dollar disputes before federal and state courts and arbitration panels across the country. In recent years, he has represented more than two dozen national health plans in a series of multibillion-dollar fraud- and contract-based disputes, including two recent arbitrations where he helped lead trial teams to secure nearly $800 million in judgments for his client. He has defended large-scale antitrust class cases filed by plaintiffs’ classes and by state and federal regulators, and earlier in his career, represented Humana at trial against DOJ over Humana’s merger with Aetna—at the time, the largest-dollar merger ever litigated to a final decision. Justin has represented other leading companies in a variety of federal and state court litigation, raising diverse claims and counterclaims ranging from privacy to IP to defamation to business torts.
“Justin’s track record in high-stakes litigation, particularly in the healthcare and antitrust arenas, reflects the caliber of strategic thinking our clients expect,” said Lee Marshall, Global Practice Leader- Litigation and Investigations. “His advocacy, pro bono leadership, and sharp litigation instincts make him a strong addition to our team.”
Justin brings a unique perspective as a recovery-oriented litigator whose practice spans both sides of the “v.” Tackling affirmative cases against suppliers or other business partners, he has helped several of his clients turn their legal departments into profit centers through a combination of affirmative cases, settlement claims, and opt-out litigation.
Recognized as “One to Watch” in Best Lawyers in America 2025 in both Commercial Litigation, Health Care Law, and Antitrust Litigation, and admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, several federal district courts, and the courts in three states/territories (Arizona, Illinois, and Washington, D.C.), Justin brings significant depth at to business-critical disputes with state and federal regulatory complexity.
“BCLP’s platform is uniquely positioned to meet the demands of complex, cross-border litigation and to help our clients look around corners to mitigate against long-term risks. I am eager to bring my experience to a team known for tackling disputes that sit at the intersection of law, business, and regulation,” said Justin.
A member of Lambda Legal’s National Leadership Council, Justin also maintains a deep commitment to pro bono service, with longstanding involvement in matters relating to LGBT civil rights, as well as voting rights litigation, asylum, and criminal justice matters. His recent work includes a key role in litigation challenging Iowa’s “Don’t Say Gay” and “Book Ban” omnibus bill, where the Eighth Circuit adopted arguments that he advanced in an amicus brief submitted on behalf of leading First Amendment scholars regarding the government speech doctrine in the public education context. Justin has also secured asylum for LGBTQ+ asylum-seekers from Senegal, Russia, and Venezuela.
Before entering private practice, Justin worked in national politics and the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
Justin joins BCLP from Crowell & Moring LLP.
