New York, New York, July 1, 2025 – International law firm BCLP announced today the addition of Partner Daniel J. Doron to the firm’s Employment & Labor practice. He joins the firm’s New York office.
Dan’s practice focuses on the labor and employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions, advising both buyers and sellers on how to structure and integrate workforces in ways that align with long-term business goals. He has advised private equity clients and strategic acquirers in hundreds of transactions across a range of sectors, including healthcare, manufacturing, technology and software, professional services, biotech and life sciences, and real estate. Dan works closely with clients to identify employment-related risks, assess the materiality of exposure, and develop tailored strategies to mitigate their impact. When working with private equity firms and other financial sponsors, Dan supports clients and their portfolio companies on labor and employment matters throughout the investment lifecycle, from acquisition through exit.
He also advises on employment and separation agreements—often at the senior executive level—as part of a broader focus on helping clients navigate personnel transitions. That focus extends to counseling on the full spectrum of federal, state, and local employment laws, including protecting confidential information and trade secrets, developing compliant policies, handling of sensitive workplace issues, and executing employment decisions in a defensible manner.
“Dan’s arrival deepens our bench in complex transactional counseling, especially in the private equity space,” said Mimi Moore, Partner and Global Employment & Labor Practice Group Leader. “His work reflects a thoughtful, strategic approach that resonates with the kind of client service our team is known for delivering.”
Over the course of his career, Dan has supported clients on significant transactions across a broad spectrum of industries, including healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, technology, professional services, and real estate—bringing a thoughtful, deal-driven approach to employment structuring in complex environments. In addition to his transactional focus, he represents clients in high-stakes employment disputes, including restrictive covenants, trade secret misappropriation, discrimination, and executive compensation.
“Dan brings a distinctive lens to transactional employment law and will be a strong resource for our clients navigating high-stakes deals,” said Lee Marshall, Global Department Leader of Litigation & Investigations. “His ability to bridge technical knowledge with sound judgment makes him a valuable addition to our broader litigation and investigations platform.”
Outside his practice, Dan remains engaged in the broader business and legal community, serving as Vice Chair of the board of The Bedford Playhouse (and Chair of its Nominating and Governance Committee) and speaking and writing on labor and employment law issues.
Prior to joining BCLP, Dan was a principal in the New York office of Jackson Lewis P.C.— a labor and employment law boutique firm. He previously served as partner-in-charge of the Transactional Employment and Executive Contracts practice at an Am Law 25 firm.
