In Memoriam: Robert B. Barnett 1946-2025

The Williams & Connolly family mourns the death of our dear friend and longtime partner, Robert “Bob” Barnett. He was widely known in Washington, D.C. legal circles and nationwide for his high-profile clientele. Bob recently celebrated 50 years at Williams & Connolly.
“Bob was the consummate counselor to Presidents, CEOs, royalty and celebrities, and a legend at our firm” said Joe Petrosinelli, Chairman of Williams & Connolly, “but anyone who knew him also recognized him as a kind, gracious man who was an amazing partner and friend. We will miss him greatly.”
The Williams & Connolly family sends heartfelt sympathies to Bob’s family and to his many friends. Bob is survived by his wife Rita Braver, daughter Meredith Barnett, son-in-law Daniel Penn, and grandchildren Teddy, Connor and Blair.
