Edwards is a tenacious courtroom advocate at the trial court and appellate levels, having prevailed on disputes before the trial and appellate courts of D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
Edwards is a fellow of the Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and teaches business valuation and trial skills as a member of the faculty of the National Family Law Trial Institute (NFLTI). He also volunteers as a family law mentor for the D.C. Bar Advice & Referral Clinic, where he advises pro se litigants on family law and domestic violence matters. Over the course of his career, Edwards has devoted thousands of hours to pro bono work. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Greater Washington Community Foundation.
