NEW YORK, July 2, 2012 – Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason, Anello, and Bohrer P.C., a leading New York litigation boutique, has elected Benjamin Fischer and James R. Stovall as Partners of the firm, effective July 1, 2012.

Benjamin Fischer's practice focuses on representing corporate executives and corporations in high stakes business litigation, criminal actions, and regulatory investigations.  He has significant experience litigating almost every aspect of civil and criminal cases in both federal and state court.  Ben's cases have involved allegations of hedge fund mismanagement, securities fraud, insider trading, stock option backdating, and market timing. Prior to joining Morvillo Abramowitz in 2003, Ben served as a law clerk for the Honorable James C. Francis IV, United States Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2002 and his B.A. from Connecticut College in 1997. Ben became Counsel at the firm in 2011.

James R. Stovall represents individuals and organizations in a variety of civil, criminal, and regulatory matters, with a focus on white-collar defense and complex civil litigation.  His cases have involved allegations of securities fraud, accounting fraud, wire fraud, investigations by the SEC into broker-dealer and hedge fund trading practices, and litigation concerning the accounting practices of publicly traded companies.  Prior to joining Morvillo Abramowitz in 2004, James served as law clerk to the Honorable Laura Taylor Swain, United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York.  He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2002 and his B.A. from Texas A&M University in 1999.  James became counsel at the firm in 2011.
