John A. Glassgow has rejoined the firm as a partner in the private equity practice in Chicago. Winston & Strawn’s private equity practice provides strategic advice and legal counsel to middle-market private equity funds, hedge funds, family offices, real estate funds, alternative asset managers, portfolio companies, and institutional investors. Mr. Glassgow has extensive experience representing private equity funds in connection with acquisition financings,  which will greatly complement the firm’s strategic goals for the practice and deepen the resources available to its private equity clients.

Mr. Glassgow’s prior experience includes representation of  private equity funds, lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured financings ranging from several million to several billion dollars including acquisition financings, loan workouts and restructurings, subordinated loans, term loans, revolving loans, working capital and letter-of-credit facilities. He also has broad experience with issues involving start-up companies and entrepreneurs, venture capital, private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions and new business formations.

Mr. Glassgow received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, his M.P.A. from Princeton University, Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, and his B.A.,magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.
