San Francisco, CA – Arent Fox LLP is pleased to announce the addition of partner Pamela Fulmer to the firm’s nationally recognized Intellectual Property and Complex Litigation practices.  A highly respected trial attorney, Ms. Fulmer joins the firm’s growing San Francisco office with extensive experience representing clients in courts around the country in patent, copyright, and trademark infringement cases, as well as in disputes involving trade secrets, trade libel, licensing, and false advertising.

“Our San Francisco office has a very robust Intellectual Property practice and Pam is a great addition to the team,” said California Managing Partner Robert C. O’Brien. “As a result of representing clients in diverse industries, including those on the cutting-edge of technology, entertainment, sports and media, she brings broad-based knowledge which will be an invaluable resource.”

Ms. Fulmer is the fifth IP litigator to join the San Francisco office in recent months, following the additions of partners Arthur S. Beeman, Dana J. Finberg, Imran Khaliq and counsel Joel T. Muchmore.

During her career, Ms. Fulmer has delivered winning arguments for clients involved in ecommerce, cellular communication, streaming media, email messaging and security, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals. In addition to her skills in the courtroom, Ms. Fulmer litigates cases in both domestic and international arbitral forums.  She represents companies in breach of contract disputes involving licenses and other complex agreements, including securing a $33 million arbitration award for a biomedical research foundation in a AAA international arbitration.

Formerly a partner at Novak Druce Connolly Bove + Quigg LLP, she is a segment leader of The Club Silicon Valley — an incubator for women in the technology sector — and serves on the organization’s membership committee.  In addition, she is a board member of the Bar Association of San Francisco, and is a member of The Intellectual Property Inn of Court.  She also serves as an advisor to the Executive Committee of the International Law Section of the State Bar of California.

Recognized as one of the nation’s “IP Stars” by Managing Intellectual Property and one of the top 250 Women in IP Law in the United States, Ms. Fulmer obtained her law degree cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif, and Thurston Society.  During law school she served as a judicial extern for Judge Marilyn Patel, US District Court for the Northern District of California.

Chambers Global, Chambers USA, and Legal 500 have recognized the firm’s Intellectual Property practice and its attorneys as industry leaders.  With more than 70 full-time IP professionals, the group offers a full range of services across copyright, patent, and trademark matters.
