Proskauer Expands Business Development Team

June 10, 2014 (New York) – Global law firm Proskauer announced today that Sandra Matrick Forman is joining the firm as a senior counsel in the New York office, effective July 1. Ms. Forman joins Proskauer’s significant business development companies (BDCs) team, which advises BDCs on transactional, financing and regulatory matters across its Capital Markets, Private Equity, Multi-Tranche Finance and Private Investment Funds practices.

Ms. Forman comes to the firm after a decade at Harris & Harris Group, a BDC specializing in transformative life science companies, where she was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.

She brings additional depth to Proskauer‘s BDC practice, which advises key participants in the sector, including the largest BDCs and many others, their management companies/sponsors and portfolio companies, and investment banks. The firm provides a wide range of services to its BDC clients with regard to portfolio investments (both debt and equity), formation-related matters, transactions, capital markets, and regulatory and tax issues. Proskauer‘s Multi-Tranche Finance Group, which represents numerous BDCs as lenders and/or investors, is among the most sophisticated of its kind and has advised in hundreds of financing transactions.

Prior to working at Harris & Harris Group, Ms. Forman was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. She is a graduate of the UCLA School of Law and New York University.
