June 23, 2014 – DLA Piper announced today that Kevin Lytle and Craig Cartwright have joined the firm’s Real Estate practice as partners in the Phoenix office.

Lytle and Cartwright have a diverse real estate transactional practice focused on representing public and private real estate investment vehicles and other commercial entities. Over the past three years, they have handled over US$4 billion in portfolio and single asset transactions.

Lytle represents public and private real estate investment trusts, other commercial entities and individuals. His experience extends to all aspects of sales and acquisitions, leases, sale-leasebacks, construction and permanent loans, acquisition loans, refinancings, loan and lease modifications and workouts and intercreditor agreements. He also has experience in business entity creation, including bankruptcy-remote structuring and commercial landlord-tenant law.

Cartwright advises clients on a broad range of transactional real estate matters, including secured lending, property development, commercial leasing, sales and acquisitions, entity formation, bankruptcy workouts and construction-related matters.

Both lawyers join the firm from Snell & Wilmer LLP. Lytle earned a B.S. and J.D. from the University of Nebraska, and Cartwright earned a B.S. and J.D. from the University of Kansas.
