Timothy Kratz Joins Jackson Lewis

DENVER, CO (September 24, 2014) -- Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the largest workplace law firms in the world representing management, is pleased to announce Timothy M. Kratz has joined the firm’s Denver office as Shareholder.  Mr. Kratz, who joins Jackson Lewis from Pendleton, Wilson, Hennessey & Crow P.C., has more than 20 years of litigation and counseling experience in all aspects of workplace law.

 Mr. Kratz regularly defends employers against a wide variety of claims, including harassment and discrimination, disparate impact class allegations, non-compete disputes, wage and hour and public policy discharge.  He also conducts and coordinates harassment investigations and counsels clients on ways to reduce the risk of litigation through protective measures such as employment contracts, supervisor manuals and employee handbooks.

Mr. Kratz, who has been selected for inclusion in Colorado Super Lawyers, is a frequent speaker on a variety of employment law topics.  From 2012 – 2014, he coordinated an employment law breakfast seminar series for Colorado employers that covered topics such as marijuana in the workplace, best methods to investigate  harassment claims, dangers of using independent contractors  and the enforceability of non-compete agreements.

Prior to private practice, Mr. Kratz served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Donald P. Lay of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and Justice Gregory K. Scott of the Supreme Court of Colorado. 

Mr. Kratz earned his B.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings.
