Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. and Michael V. Ciresi announced today that Mike Ciresi, Jan M.  Conlin and Katie Crosby Lehmann will be leaving the firm on February 1, 2015.

Martin R. Lueck, Chairman of the Executive Board of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi, said, “The three departing partners have decided to establish their own practice as Ciresi & Conlin to pursue their varied interests with greater flexibility.  We thank Mike, Jan and Katie for all of their past contributions and wish them continued success in their endeavors. It is our expectation that there may be opportunities to work collaboratively in the future on common client matters.”

Mr. Ciresi said, “Jan, Katie and I have the deepest respect for our former partners and colleagues at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi, where we have spent our entire professional careers.  We are extremely proud of the Firm and its historic accomplishments in which we have been privileged to play a role.  However, we have come to a point in our careers where we want to forge a new road on a continuing journey.  We leave many good friends behind but with full confidence that they will continue to be highly successful.  We look forward to collaborating together on professional matters in the future.”

Mr. Lueck added, “Our discussions with Mike have afforded us the opportunity to plan for this change.  Our goal, as always, will be to continue to focus intensely on serving our clients.  In early 2015, we anticipate that we will change the name of the firm to Robins Kaplan.”

The independent Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi Foundation for Children, formed in 1999 by the firm, and of which Mr. Ciresi is Chair and President, will continue, on occasion, to collaborate with the firm’s private foundation.  The private foundation of Robins, Kaplan is chaired by the firm’s Managing Partner, Steven A. Schumeister.  The two foundations have collectively made grants of more than $40 million since 2000.
