Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Jason E. Reisman has joined the Firm as a Partner in the Labor and Employment group in the Philadelphia office. Mr. Reisman dedicates his practice to the representation of management in all aspects of labor relations and employment law, with a particular emphasis on wage and hour matters. He joins Blank Rome from Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP, where he was a partner and member of the firm’s Management Committee.

Mr. Reisman has extensive experience dealing with equal employment opportunity matters before state and federal agencies, including federal employment discrimination litigation under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act.  He also handles union collective bargaining negotiations, labor arbitrations, and representation cases and unfair labor practice case proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.

“Jason is committed to building strong relationships with his clients, and cements himself as part of their business team, counseling on everything from large litigation matters to general labor and employment issues that arise on a daily basis,” said Alan J. Hoffman, Chairman and Managing Partner. “Jason’s extensive experience is an excellent complement to our Labor and Employment group, and we are pleased to welcome him to the Firm. With the addition of Jason in Philadelphia and Rory McEvoy in New York last month, we are continuing our commitment to growing our labor and employment capabilities.”

Mr. Reisman’s clients range from small, family-owned businesses to large multi-national corporations in a variety of industries. He has represented manufacturers, chemical companies, healthcare-related organizations and providers, professional services firms, transportation providers, and warehouse and distribution operators. Mr. Reisman regularly assists his clients in preparation, and litigation regarding the enforcement, of executive employment/severance agreements, including non-competition and other restrictive covenants. He has provided clients with training and guidance on overtime and exemption issues, defending collective and class action litigation under the Fair Labor Standards Act and similar state statutes, and has assisted clients through Department of Labor audits.

“I am thrilled to join Blank Rome and have the opportunity to work in such a highly collaborative environment,” said Mr. Reisman. “Blank Rome’s well-respected and growing Labor and Employment group, coupled with the Firm’s full-service, national platform, will provide me with an excellent opportunity to support the needs of my clients and continue to expand my practice.”

Committed to giving back to his community, Mr. Reisman serves on the Philadelphia Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League.  He also is a member of The Wage & Hour Defense Institute (“WHDI”) of the Litigation Counsel of America and the American Employment Law Council.
