NEW ORLEANS, April 2, 2015—McGlinchey Stafford PLLC is pleased to announce the addition of L.Eades Hogue as Of Counsel in the firm’s New Orleans office.

Hogue has spent the past 30 years in private practice in New Orleans representing clients in white collar defense matters, complex commercial litigation, class action lawsuits, environmental litigation, intellectual property matters, and consumer financial services litigation.

“Eades adds considerable, immensely valuable experience to our team, thanks to his background as a prosecutor and as a high-stakes civil litigator. I have known and respected Eades for decades and believe that he is a natural fit for our expanding group,” said David Dugas, a former U.S. Attorney and co-chair of McGlinchey Stafford’s Government Investigations and White Collar Defense practice.

Prior to entering private practice, Hogue served as an attorney with the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and was appointed Attorney in Charge of the New Orleans Organized Crime Strike Force in 1979. Hogue also served as a trial attorney with the Miami Organized Crime Strike Force. He received multiple awards for his service to the U.S. Department of Justice, including the Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award and the Criminal Division Special Commendation Award.

“We’re thrilled to have Eades join our firm. He brings tremendous depth to our practice group thanks to his understanding of agency investigations and white collar crime from the government’s perspective. Our clients will immediately benefit from his knowledge and insight,” added Bob Driscoll, former Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Chief of Staff, Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. Driscoll leads the firm’s Washington, D.C. office and serves as co-chair of the firm’s Government Investigations and White Collar Defense practice.

Hogue received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1969, and his Bachelor of Public Administration degree from the University of Mississippi in 1966. He is licensed to practice in Louisiana and Mississippi.
