MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (July 2016) – Attorney James C. Joslin has joined the Minneapolis law firm of Ciresi Conlin LLP as a partner.  Joslin will focus his litigation practice on business and commercial litigation, non-competition/employment law, accounting/valuation business disputes, mass tort, personal injury, and medical malpractice.

Joslin brings to Ciresi Conlin 20 years of experience in the courtroom and the boardroom.  Most recently, he held executive-level positions at Honeywell International Inc., where he was chief litigation counsel of Honeywell Automation & Control Solutions and general counsel of Honeywell Resins & Chemicals.  At Honeywell, Joslin had worldwide litigation responsibility for a $15 billion business with a portfolio of over 100 cases, including class actions, internal and external investigations, intellectual property, shareholder claims, licensing disputes, international arbitration, and products liability.

Before joining Honeywell, Joslin was a litigation partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago, where he practiced for thirteen years.  At Kirkland, he served as lead trial counsel in commercial and technology related disputes, non-competition/employment law, securities and bankruptcy litigation, and accounting/valuation disputes.  Joslin also clerked for the Honorable Karen Nelson Moore on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Joslin received his B.A. in economics from Illinois Wesleyan University and his JD from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

“We are thrilled to have Jim join our growing firm as a partner,” said Jan Conlin, founding partner of Ciresi Conlin.  “His deep experience will greatly add to our firm’s exceptional business and intellectual property litigation team.”
