ATLANTABarnes & Thornburg LLP announced today that James R. Robinson has joined the firm’s Atlanta office as a partner in the Corporate Department and Private Wealth Services Practice Group.

Robinson concentrates his practice on estate and corporate planning, working with families and closely-held businesses on issues that range from the routine to the complex, including succession planning, estate and gift planning, sophisticated tax planning, wealth preservation and charitable giving, among others. In addition, he provides fiduciary counseling and dispute resolution, advises tax-exempt organizations on formation and operations, and serves as an expert in trust, estate and federal wealth transfer taxation and related controversies.

Robinson is the latest attorney to join Barnes & Thornburg’s growing Atlanta office, which has increased its attorney ranks to 22 since opening in 2009.

Robinson is a member of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, the Florida Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia, where he is chair-elect of the Fiduciary Law Section.
