NEW YORK, NY (March 3, 2014) – Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP is pleased to announce that Yoram Keinan has joined the firm as a partner in its Tax Department effective March 3, 2014.

Yoram Keinan has significant experience in both domestic and international tax law.  His practice has focused on the taxation of financial products and institutions.  He regularly advises a number of multinational companies, global banks and investment firms.  Mr. Keinan joins Carter Ledyard from the New York office of Greenberg Traurig, where he was a shareholder in its Tax and Financial Regulatory and Compliance Groups.

Mr. Keinan has several academic degrees in the United States and Israel.  He received his I.T.P., in International Taxation from Harvard Law School in 2000, LL.M. from University of Michigan Law School in 2001, M.P.A. in International Taxation, Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government in 2001 and his J.S.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2002. In Israel, he received his B.A. and LL. B. degrees from Tel Aviv University in 1995, LL.M. from Hebrew University School of Law and M.B.A. from Bar-Ilan University in 1998. 

Mr. Keinan is a member of the American Bar Association Tax Section and former chair of its Banking Committee.  He is also a member of the New York Tax Club. Mr. Keinan has been listed in Super Lawyers magazine, New York Super Lawyers, “Rising Star,” for the years 2012-14.  He is admitted to practice in New York, District of Columbia and Israel and is fluent in Hebrew.
