Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP announced today that noted trial lawyer Jennifer Selendy will be joining the firm’s New York office as a partner.  Before  joining  Quinn  Emanuel,  Ms. Selendy  was  a  partner  at  Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
 
Ms. Selendy has a broad trial practice focusing on complex commercial disputes and international arbitration in diverse practice areas including antitrust, RICO, intellectual property, bankruptcy, securities, and toxic torts.  She has represented blue chip clients in both plaintiff and defense matters across a range of industries, and has tried over a dozen cases.   Her past successes include a $2.75 billion antitrust recovery for Discover Financial Services and a ground-breaking trial victory for Samsung, IBM, and Infineon Technologies in a multi-billion dollar cross-border insolvency dispute involving the failed European semiconductor giant, Qimonda AG.   She has also represented clients such as Verizon, Morgan Stanley, Collins & Aikman, and Forstmann Little in high stakes litigation matters.

Jennifer is a cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School and a Marshall Scholar.  She received an M.Phil. in International Relations from Oxford University and an undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, in International Relations from Tufts University.
